Can I Make Frozen Margaritas Ahead of Time?
You can make your Margarita a day or two before serving.
Prepare your margaritas as directed and then freeze it in an airtight container until use. The alcohol will keep the margarita from freezing completely over.
When it’s time to serve, just run it through your blender and serve!
Ingredients for the Frozen Strawberry Margaritas
One perk of making fruity frozen cocktails is that you don’t need to splurge on the most expensive liqueurs to achieve fantastic results.
Strawberries – Use Frozen strawberries for the best result. If you use fresh make sure you are using frozen limeade contrate rather than fresh lime juice.
Tequila – You will need a good quality 100% blue agave blanco (aka silver or white) tequila.
Orange liqueur – Cointreau, Grand Marnier, or regular triple sec.
Lime Juice – You can use either frozen limeade concentrate or fresh lime juice depending on how sweet (or sour) you prefer your Margarita.
Tip: If desired, rub a lime wedge along the top of each glass and dip into a shallow bowl filled with some coarse sugar before filling.
