The Jalapeño Dragon Fruit Margarita blends tequila, dragon fruit, and jalapeño, creating a sweet, tangy, and spicy cocktail.
The Jalapeño Dragon Fruit Margarita is a vibrant and spicy twist on the classic margarita, combining the exotic flavors of dragon fruit with the heat of jalapeño peppers.
This cocktail offers a perfect balance of sweetness, tanginess, and spice, making it a delightful choice for adventurous cocktail enthusiasts.
Tips for Making the BEST Margaritas
- Chill your glasses ahead of time to help ensure the cocktail remains cool to the very last sip.
- Choose premium liquors for the best results. You don’t need to reach for the top shelf but at least avoid scraping the bottom of the barrel.
- To make sure your cocktail is properly chilled, consider using larger ice cubes. They melt slower and won’t water down your drink as quickly.
- Garnish with lime wheels and dragon fruit pieces.
- We used a tajin rim, but feel free to rim your glass as desired.
- Enjoy your margarita and don’t forget to drink responsibly. Cheers!
Ingredients for Jalapeno Cantaloupe Margarita
Tequila – I used Jose Cuervo “Gold” tequila but any blanco or resposado tequilas will work well in a Margarita.
Grand Marnier – Grand Marnier is a good choice here but you could opt for any orange flavoured liqueur.
Dragon fruit – We used a yellow dragon fruit but you can use any variety of dragon fruit for this cocktail. If you can’t get a hold of dragon fruit, you can substitute with ripe, fresh kiwi instead for a similar flavour.
Jalapeno syrup – If you can’t find jalapeno syrup you can infuse simple syrup with slices of jalapeno instead. Just add slices to your sugar and water when heating.
Juice – Any tropical fruit juice will do. Make sure it is one you enjoy!
Lime – Fresh lime juice is best but you can substitute with an ounce of margarita mix or bottled lime juice.
