Tips for Best Results

  • Use thinly sliced roast beef – This ensures it warms quickly in the air fryer without drying out.
  • Toast buns lightly first – If you like extra crisp edges, lightly toast the cut sides of the buns in the air fryer for 1–2 minutes before assembling.
  • Even cheese coverage – Make sure the Swiss cheese slices fully cover the roast beef for uniform melting.
  • Don’t overcrowd the basket – Air fry in a single layer to allow hot air to circulate and melt the cheese evenly.
  • Adjust timing to your air fryer – Some models run hotter; start checking at 3 minutes to avoid over-melting or burning.
  • Serve immediately – These sandwiches are best enjoyed right out of the air fryer when the cheese is gooey and the buns are still slightly crisp.
  • Customize the sauce – Add more horseradish if you like a spicier kick, or a pinch of smoked paprika for a subtle twist.
