Ingredients and Substitutions

  • White Melting Chocolate: Opt for high-quality white chocolate chips or candy melts for a smooth coating. Almond bark or white compound chocolate also works well and melts easily.
  • Nutter Butter Cookies: Stick with regular Nutter Butter cookies for their distinct shape and flavor.
  • M&M’s: Use mini M&Ms for the buttons and regular-sized M&Ms for earmuffs. Substitute with any small round candies if needed.
  • Small Black Nonpareils: Black edible pearls, chocolate sprinkles, or even a black food marker can be used to create the snowman’s eyes and mouth.
  • Fruit Roll-Ups: Thin licorice strips or gummy tape make great alternatives for the scarves, adding a pop of color and flavor.
  • Carrot Sprinkles or Candy Corns: Swap with orange fondant shaped into tiny carrots or orange Tic Tacs to mimic the snowman’s nose.
